Supporting the Gala
Welcome to the 7th Annual Ronald McDonald House Gala to support the Ronald McDonald Houses of Southeast Michigan. This event has raised almost one million dollars over the last seven years that has directly impacted the families that rely on us day after day. The support of individuals and corporations just like you is vital to the success of the Ronald McDonald House Gala. This event kicked off at an airport hanger, was held at the esteemed Detroit Institute of Arts and was smooth sailing on the river last year. In 2011, we are proud and excited to host this event at Joe Louis Arena on Saturday, October 8, 2011.
RMH Charities
Southeast Michigan is fortunate to have two Ronald McDonald Houses - one in Ann Arbor and one in Detroit. By creating, finding and supporting programs that directly improve the health and well being of children, Ronald McDonald House Charities is working to better the lives of children and their families around the world. That is why this event and the funds raised are so important to support and continue our mission of serving families in need.
The Gala
The Ronald McDonald House Gala is hosted by the Southeast Michigan McDonald's Operators Association and DTE Energy. This year's format will include a Benefactor’s reception in the Olympia Room, black tie strolling dinner, silent and live auctions, entertainment by Kimmie Horn Band, exclusive tours of the storied Detroit Red Wings locker room, and an afterglow party in the exclusive Legends Club.
Funds raised at the Gala will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit and Ann Arbor. The Ronald McDonald House program has provided a "home away from home" for over 4 million family members whose children are undergoing treatment for serious illnesses. Today, more than 303 Ronald McDonald houses in more than 30 countries host over 6000 families each night.
