Supporting the Gala
Welcome to the 8th Annual Ronald McDonald House Gala to support the Ronald McDonald Houses of Southeast Michigan. This event has raised almost one million dollars over the last seven years that has directly impacted the families that rely on us day after day. The support of individuals and corporations just like you is vital to the success of the Ronald McDonald House Gala. This event kicked off at an airport hanger, was held at the esteemed Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit River, and Joe Louis Arena. In 2012, we are proud and excited to host this event at Joe Louis Arena on Saturday, October 6th, 2012.
RMH Charities
Southeast Michigan is fortunate to have two Ronald McDonald Houses - one in Ann Arbor and one in Detroit. By creating, finding and supporting programs that directly improve the health and well being of children, Ronald McDonald House Charities is working to better the lives of children and their families around the world. That is why this event and the funds raised are so important to support and continue our mission of serving families in need.
The Gala
The Ronald McDonald House Gala is hosted by the Southeast Michigan McDonald's Operators Association and DTE Energy. This year's format will include strolling dinner and wine tasting, silent and live auctions, exclusive tours of the storied Detroit Red Wings locker room, and an afterglow party in the exclusive Legends Club. This relax atmosphere means no black tie attire required.
Funds raised at the Gala will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit and Ann Arbor. The Ronald McDonald House program has provided a "home away from home" for over 4 million family members whose children are undergoing treatment for serious illnesses. Today, there are more than 303 Ronald McDonald houses in more than 30 countries host over 6000 families each night.
